Back from Church Camp... :p

Just came back from church camp, really really tired, slept 3 hours this morning and that was about the sleep i got. But hey, the messages are over and i shall be able to catch up with my sleep later.

The messages of the camp really stirred something in me. The 1st message was about Intimacy with God where in truth, Intimacy with God is one of the foundations of our faith(luke 10:38 for reference). Intimacy and passion has to be renewed constantly through praise and worship, camps etc. And Intimacy can be done with 3 basic points:

1)Listening over talking.
We should keep quiet and listen more to him when he speaks to us. We have 2 ears and one mouth(sure u heard this before) but also, out ears are always open and we can close out mouths. God created us to listen more!

2)Devotion over duty
Most of us sees it the opposite as duty over devotion such as during exam periods, how many of us go full fledge on studies and neglect God, I sincerely have done so yes? Trying to change that now. Remember, Carry out out duties not with a sense of duty but carry out or duties with a sense of devotion.

3)One thing over many things
In this hectic world of us, how many of us don't multi-task. We talk on the phone, sms, use the com, listen to the radio and watch TV all at the same time! If we were doing a project on the com, don't you notice that the quality of your work really suffers? Such as this, we should seek God 1st yes? And everything else will fall into their rightful place.

This was the 1st message for the camp and for me, it was a new insight and really, a newer level of intimacy with God. The Discussion after the message went pretty well. Glad that everyone shared. Felt bad about pressurising Yuming to share, but i guess it is easier for girls to open up to girls and not one who big group of 8 ppl rite?
I guess time will tell.
