Seventeen

a year in the past,
it is so fast.
I am now seventeen,
saying goodbye to sweet sixteen.

I started my day off in band,
musical terms i tried to understand.
Should i quit? Should I stay?
I just can't decide today.

Got a birthday song from a clarinet,
now u can't beat that.
At 12 with my family i left for lunch,
at dragon gate restaurant i had a munch.

Ate sum lovely porridige and dim sum,
i just wanted to go yum yum.
went home after that,
just sat around and slack.

But not too long later i went to school,
meet my frenz, wanted to play pool.
went to the store room to play bridge,
little rules of the game to teach.

Went out with the MM after that,
we sat around, had a good chat.
Went to eat at delifrance,
to eat shephard's pie i had a chance.

Bize then had to go,
but things to catch up, things to know.
so chatted with nabi and isabel,
things to hear, things to tell.

Played the steps of truth,
contemplated things of my youth.
things i've said, things i've done,
some were bad others were fun.

True frens they are to me,
that is one thing i hope it'll be.
frens to care, secrets to share,
wished they could be found everywhere.

A new chapter in my life has begun,
many things to be done.
A new phase has started in my life,
things to strife.

But stay true to myself i must,
a person, loyal and with trust.
I shall not change for the worst,
if not my conscience would haf burst.
